Einer für Alle (Uomini sul Fondo)

The rare German occupied Czech territory poster in both German and Czech languages for the Italian fascist Navy submarine classic feature, Uomini sul Fondo (Men at the bottom) by master filmmaker Francesco De Robertis (1941) can be found by scrolling down to the bottom of this page.  The German title means "One for All."

The rare German original press-book for the film, which was dubbed into German and released during WWII in German cinemas, has been acquired for our Collection. Also shown, a rental invoice for the film to be hired by a regional cinema in mi–1942 in Germany.

In November 2019 we also acquired the original German cinema owner's publicity guide for the film (Werberatschlag) which shows the poster design used in the German Reich (not in Böhmen & Mähren (Czechoslovakia):

Here is an original Bavaria Filmkunst press photo from 1941, for the German cinema premiere of the film; with the caption on the reverse side stating " ONE FOR ALL –  this new film shows life and work of a submarine crew during a (training) exercise, whose peaceful course, however, demands just as much ready-goingness to the last man."

We also have two rare American film stills although these would be from the post–war re–release after Mussolini's Italy was conquered.
